Date of the trip is 20-28 of February 2013. The final date can be shifted +/- 2 days depends on the flights from Europe to Oman. The exploration time is fixed and we will spend on the omani interior 7 days. I will help to any participants to find convenient fly connection from Norway to Zurich or Amsterdam, where we will meet all together and continuing our trip to Muscat.
Cost of our support in Oman is 400 Omani Rial (800 EUR) per one person and you DO NOT PAY anything an advance.
In the support is include:
• Guiding in Oman from the arrival day to the departure time.
• Full day board during our trip in the interior
• Any help on the desert ( car’s problem etc.).
• Also our guide in Oman will help you to contact with car the rental agencies and will share with all needed information about the Oman, local culture, the expedition purposes and other things.

In the support is NOT include:
• The fly ticket
• The car hiring
• The travel insurance
• The fuel.
Our target for the february expedition is an exploration of the Omani deserts and the shore line in Al Wusta region, still the most natural and unchanged by the humans part of the country. We will visit silent and clean Masirah island. Great place for many type of sea-water activities. We will definitely explore the dunes on The Empty Quarter. The biggest sand desert on the World. We will cross the Jabal al Akhdar Mountains, and spend night in the huge rocky canyon in Wadi Bani Awf. We will visit also a couple of heritage locations, especially in the mountains.
The weather in February is suitable for a long trip across the country. Average temperature during the day will be around 30°C and 20°C in the night. In the mountains on the end of the winter can be cooler. Only on the desert like Empty quarter in the middle of the day temperature can be over 30°C
